Privacy Policy
The Short Version
Your files never leave your device. Every FilePulp tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We never upload, store, transmit, or have access to any files you work with. Period.
How Our Tools Work
When you use a FilePulp tool — whether generating an invoice, creating a pay stub, redacting a PDF, or extracting bank statement data — all processing happens locally on your computer or phone. The files you upload stay in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close the tab.
We do not operate any servers that receive or process your files. There is no "cloud processing" step. The JavaScript code that powers our tools runs on your device, not ours.
What We Do Collect
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people find and use our site. This collects:
- Pages visited and time on site
- General geographic region (country/city level)
- Device type and browser
- Referral source (how you found us)
- Anonymized usage events (e.g., "a PDF was exported" — not the contents of the PDF)
Google Analytics does not collect any information about the content of your files, the text you type into forms, or any personal data you enter into our tools.
Advertising
FilePulp is supported by display advertising. Our ad partners may use cookies to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your browser settings or by visiting Google's Ad Settings.
Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies to understand site usage
- Advertising: Ad network cookies for display advertising
- Preferences: Some tools use localStorage (not cookies) to save your preferences locally on your device
Third-Party Libraries
Our tools load JavaScript libraries from CDNs (Content Delivery Networks) to power features like PDF generation and spreadsheet export. These libraries (jsPDF, pdf.js, SheetJS, etc.) run locally in your browser. CDN providers may log standard web request data (IP address, timestamp) as part of normal web infrastructure.
Children's Privacy
FilePulp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
